To date: 02-02-2017, a new fuel pump for my 2008 XT660z, from an official Yamaha dealer, is £375.00 + vat, the total cost, according to Yamaha is £450.00. YES... £450.00 😨

Arrow Main Yamaha dealer told me...

...only last week that the XT660z will longer be available here in the UK, but will be in mainland Europe, meaning, that if you still want one you can get one for the UK but only as a grey import....

Hi...just took my front wheel out this week too, for the first time.

This is how I did it:

1. Take off the brakes.

2. Losen the pinch bolts.

3. Undo the axel bolt with a 14mm hex,...

Thanks for the help guys, I took the axle out using an old rusty 9/16th Allen key, the correct size is 14mm. Will get the proper gear this weekend... :)

Question Front axel bolt question...

In the Haynes manual it shows the axel being torqued, for the XT660z, but, this being a bolt that needs an allen key fitting. So, please, how do/can you torque the axel with it being a allen key type...
