The story so far:

XT660.com Mark I, opened to the world on 24/05/2004, but was then closed down by the previous owner following his opportunity of a new job and a new life in Australia, with the forum having just reached 620 registered members, the plug was eventually pulled on a grim Friday 24/03/2006.

It stayed closed for just under two months, whilst negotiations were in course to reopen it under new management, within less than 2 months we finally went back on line on May 9th 2006.

At the beginning it was quite difficult for us, as we basically had to start all over with no members at all.

Plus we were unable to advertise ourselves in such a short period of time, fortunately all those members that we couldn’t contact individually by email, kept their xt660.com link in their browser's “favorites” with the hope that we would be back, a very wise move from which we all benefited.

Word of mouth is usually a force in itself and together with fierce propaganda on neighboring websites, in less than 3 weeks we had most of our original members back on board. Since May 9th 2006 we have now reached an amazing 9000 registered users, which has more than exceeded all our expectations and continues to grow at the average of 230 new members each month.

We have now teamed up with Google AdSense and added their search engine features into our forum. Also other important sponsorship deals with major companies have been established, as explained above another important addition is eBay.co.uk People now won't need to navigate out of our main page to do use a search engine or buy stuff from eBay. It's all in there, ready for them to use.

Dedication is the key to success; we have approached every aspect of this venture with an enormous amount of commitment.

Thanks to some very clever scouting we have managed to put together a team of extremely skilled people from a wide array of careers, over 9000 of them, all contributing to make XT660.com the most advanced portal that ever existed.
